356 T-6 S 1963 just purchased need help
Just puchased a 1963 356 T-6 S on E-Bay needs radio and spare wheel and tire can you help me in best place to find these.
New to air cooled Porsches, have owned three Boxsters, 06 GT3 street car and 06 GT3 Cup car, Cayman S and recently purchased 1998 C4S, my first air cooled car.
Decided I should drive one of the early cars. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

consider joining the 356 Registry ( www.356registry.org ). the site has a comprehensive list of vendors / services, great magazine, on-line Talk service & events. your B looks very nice & I think you will be suprised how much fun it is to drive, & how much you can learn about driving from these classic Porsches. cheers!

very nice - is it 6v or 12v ?
I might have a radio for you (both 6v and 12v compatible) and correct (BlauPhunkt). i'll try to dig through my spares tomorrow. i'm not going to install it. Do you have speakers?
on your wheels - are looking for something that works or something correct (i.e. with a matching date stamp for the rest of your wheels - provided they match). You might get lucky with the registry for sale ads or you can use one of the aftermarket steel chromies or the admazing aluminium ones

I loved the corduroy inserts...congratulations...change the oil every 2000 miles and grease the front suspension (great do it yourself job) every 6 months...drive and enjoy it!!!!
For the spare wheel...definitely EASY...(510) 653-EASY...ask Jim for one matching your car's date...check date on the other wheels...month and year!
For old Blaupunkt radios, try: Old Auto Radio

Good luck...

Three Wheelin'
GT3 Cup--welcome to the club! I would highly recommend joining the Southern Owners Group as well--local 356 Club here in Georgia. I have a few friends from College whose families are from Rabun County--small world! Listen to Pedro--he knows his stuff and was instrumental in helping me find my car.
E-mail So356Jo@aol.com and you can sign up to get on the list of upcoming events, the local magazine, etc etc. for the SOG. PM me if you want to talk offline about Georgia happenings, mechanics, etc.

Well then. You'll have to join the Florida Owners Group aka FOG. GREAT bunch of folks. You can get more info on them thru the 356 registry on www.356registry.org then click on "other 356 Clubs in the US"....
Your "new" 356 looks BEAUTIFUL. Enjoy it. Just remember it's a totally different animal than your other Porsches. Knock yourself down a few notches when you slip behind the wheel. Get out of your *** kicking mode and get into your cruisin' mode. Lean back, don't forget to turn the pet **** from ZU to AUF , turn the key, elax and HAVE FUN!!!
