Pic of front torsion bars needed.
Would anyone have a few pics (or links to images) of what the front torsion bars/leaves look like without the arms attached?
I want to go through the front suspension on my SC, removing the spindles and arms and all and check everything/replace what's worn and just make sure that what's under there is sound and put back together safely.
I kinda want to see what I'm getting into and know ahead of time what it SUPPOSED to look like before I start.
(I once help do this on a friend's VW Type II and, after getting everything back together, later learned that the torsion leaves weren't supposed to slide right out. Some of the ends were BROKEN off!)
I want to know what "right" looks like, just in case I find "wrong" once it's apart.
Any front end suspension pics? Any help?
