Wow. Auction just expired, high bid 65k, didn't meet reserve. Is that a realistic price for that car? I'm just a visitor here and don't know much about these older Porsches, but they interest me.

Hi Darryl...back there, the Cabs were about 20% of the production...hence the high prices for open cars in the market today...besides that, this is a SC and this one scores points for originality (considering all statements are true of course) on the other hand it has a very poor interior and some rust hiding under the paint...I'd say $65K would be more than fair for this car though...

Ah, I see, the usual equation of supply and demand. I did think that seemed like a high price for a car that needs a lot of work, to my eye. I guess I'll have to curb my interest in 356 cabs. Someday...we can dream, right?

Thanks for the information.

Makes me feel a whole lot better about my Bali blue/tan, rotiserrie restored, '65 SC cab, with 12v and 115hp!!! Maybe someday I'll get my money out of it! LOL. Till then I'll just have to enjoy driving it!!!
