I was looking at an old Porsche paint chip catalog yesterday and saw a color very similiar to your dads car.

the color code is 326, which says glasur blue, and my dad think that this is german for "glacier blue" which i dont think it is, because i thought glacier blue was more of a silver color. So i assuming the correct color pronounciation for this color is just like it looks.
