Hard to tell by only seeing 3 pics. Right away I noticed totally incorrect gauges, not that is a big deal because they are easily replaced by correct ones. But not always cheap. Condition of the engine is a big factor in evaluating a price. If it needs rebuilding, you're looking at 8-10 grand at a pro shop. And then there is the RUST issue.......Hard to find one that doesn't have some of it somewhere. More than a little rust is typical and is not cheap to repair.
So all this adds up to ???? as far as a price goes! But lately C coupes have sold for as much as 40K and as little as 10K.
More info would narrow it down better.

Thanks Robert! Right now I just have photos and asking price ($30k). Good call on the incorrect gauges. I will post more info after speaking to the seller. The wide range of prices you quote leaves a lot of room for judgement. That's the issue with these cars, they require doing your homework. It's tough for a 356-newbie like myself to know what makes for a good deal.

Sean - where are you located? Check the Registry's website - there is a list of folks who can/will do PPIs who know these cars...

Those gauges may indicate that a 12 volt conversion has been done - that's a bonus if you are buying it for a driver.

Hi Sean...by the first picture, the hood gap looks very bad (kinked)...do you have a front picture? Robert is right, you need to add more info in order to get a price guess close to reality...my own guess is: This one does not look like a $30k car but I could be wrong...

Take care...

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Steve, I am located in Birmingham.

Here's some additional info from the seller (who is the car owner's brother):

"My sister has owned it for 8-10 years. I don't think that she has records. She may be the second owner, unsure.

This car is mechanically sound.

[Our local Porsche Yoda] has serviced this car exclusively since she has owned it. You probably know that name since he is the sole mechanic for most Porsches in Birmingham.

The pans are clean.

The interior is immaculate.

There are a very few chips on the hood, so a new paint job would be a real asset, but she wanted to sell as is.

As far as rust, I have had several people look at it. There is only a couple of very small spots, and I am unsure where they are, but they were negligible.

This car has been kept in a garage for the majority of the last few years, on low charge. My sister just did not drive it very much.

The engine has been upgraded to an SC and it has been upgraded from 6 to 12 volts."

Sean...I honestly think you can do better with a $30k budget...especially among the 356Registry enthusiasts...I'd see many more cars before the big decision...if you decide to get serious regarding this one...get a PPI done at a reputable shop (not refered by the seller...please)...the kinked hood (I'm almost sure it is kinked by the first pic) would cost you about $1.5k to fix properly but the paint on the hood will be different from the rest of the body...I'm not sure how would cost to replace these ugly instruments for original ones...check for vendors at the 356registry's web site...if you still don't have a Registry's membership, you are out of your mind! ;- )

PS. Also buy James Schrager's book: "Buying, driving and enjoying the Porsche 356"

Take care...

65 sunroof for $27-$30k will be always a "good deal"...if it's an excellent car...good deal for you...a very good car will bring a good deal for both of you and in case of a "dog", definitely a good deal for the seller! ;- )

Just kidding...give us some description and will be easier to guess a value...

Take care...

I'll get more info from the seller this weekend. If anyone else is interested, I can put you in touch with the seller.

if i remember correctly the 911 gauges that look like they are installed are a little bigger in diameter the C gauges - which could mean the mounting holes have been enlarged (it's pretty slight, but could matter if you re-install the original gauges.
the dash is all wonkey too and would have to be re-done - speakers are modern (might be nice to have a radio i guess) - plus the other stuff above
- don't feel bad 59 horrifies the purists
