Damm that is one fine 356...

Out of curiosity, what do you and Robert do for a living to afford all of these neat toys? I may have to move out of education...

Gunter is gorgous!! that is one hot looking tub.

how is it a mild outlaw (other than roll bar, K&N's?) are those solex 40s or webbers?

ya know, its good to finally see you guys with a 616 again

please give details, specs, suspension, engine etc, who built it, who did the work on the car, engine, body, suspension etc.

Nice car guys...at first it looks like plain "Vanilla" but watching closely, you find tons of strawberry syrup...nice paint...great gaps...and beautiful interior...

Thanks guys!!!

Gunter is an outlaw mainly because it's got an SC engine built by Duane Spencer with all the shasta goodies. 80mm pistons, lightened flywheel, 40 Webbers, with a 741 tranny, 12 volt electrical system. All new A suspension, new brakes all around, Factory Roll bar, auxillary gages on and on...... We've got about an inch tall stack of receipts for all the work. I'm jazzed, this is one cool understated Outlaw..... Not an in your face "I'm gonna kick your ***" outlaw like Max is.

Pedro,
The gaps are perfect. I think this car has the best gaps of any car we've ever owned.

Steve,
I'm a retired Bank Robber and Robert is a retired drug smuggler...

Greg D.,
This is our idea of a fixer upper: Let someone else do the bulk of the work and then we just finish up with a few touches here and there. The receipts total up to WAY MORE than what we paid for the car!

gotta love those Duane spencer motors!

ive got a little over 1000 miles on mine so far, and carefully breaking it in. i've gotta adjust the valves again, and do another oil change, and after i do that i can start taking it up to 5 grand (mmm.. 5 grand fun!!) once its fully broken in though, ill be able to see what she can really do. (and i cant wait to do that!).

what kind of specs did he build it to? any idea what kinda cam, crank, rods, compression etc?
is it full flow?

JoAnne,
Wow!! Very Nice! How 'bout you bring them both to Hershey and let me give Gunter a ride around those back roads? I know I won't fit in Max.............

We just got the invoice and not the build sheet from the P.O. so we need to do some futher investigation. I went for a ride today and I can tell you that this is one smooth and fast puppy, not as fast as Max, but then Max is a race car. Gunter is more like the Roadrunner and Max is more like the Tasmanian devil!!!

Tony, It's enough for us to try to get Max done now before we leave for Parade on Tuesday. Don't even want to think about getting TWO cars ready for Parade!!!

PJ, Believe it or not, after 36 hours straight on the road (32 of those spent driving) Robert was at it already in the garage working today! We've got to get it done, sore butt and all!!!!! Soon as it's off of the jackstands,I'll be able to get in there and start helping with the interior and such. My hands are smaller and I can clean in tight spots where Robert can't reach.

Pedro, Only wine now and an occasional Tom Collins made with Grey Goose

Alarti, Thanks, but I don't think we are the best. It's just that our biggest love is 356's. We are just crazy about them. It's just something about them that makes us very happy. It's a certain mindset, It's not about "I have more horsepower than you" zoom, zoom "I got there first so I Win"! It's more like "Nice Car, lets go for a cruise up the coast and check out the wildflowers along the way". Ya know what I mean? I know you do because you have a 356!!!! Not that I don't love 993, 'cause I do, it's just different......

ALL Y'ALL ARE GREAT!!!
