Default Outlaw/race car?

I've found what I think is a great starting point for an outlaw. Currently it is in SCCA race shape, and I'm wondering from the experts here, what would it take to make a street legal outlaw car from her.

1960 Roadster, 912 motor, disc brakes...

The picture is the best one I've gotten so far...

thoughts???

Doug

edit to attach picture correctly...

Well, depends on what it would take to make it street legal. After that, its an outlaw, your budget and imagniation are the limit. Heck, it is already fairly outlaw as is...

Probably cheaper to leave it alone as much as possible and make it street legal as opposed to finding a "driver" or project and turning it into a outlaw...

That's a pretty nice looking car......................

Street legal is different in every state.

As far as the legal aspects of a car being street legal you have to have:
Working headlights and tail lights as well as turn signals
A proper windshield with working wipers
An exhaust that meets sound level laws in your area
Steet legal (non racing) tires are a must

Having big roudels with racing numbers on the side doesn't help when driving around and catching the attention of the local athorities.

Wipers are a must!!!

We had a 1974 911 that of course, had wipers. We took for granted that they worked. We never drove the the car in rain. We were in Yosemite once when it stated to rain and then snow. We had to use the wipers. They worked for one swipe and then got caught on each other in the middle of the windshield. NO WIPERS!!! What a sight it must have been to other park visitors to see the two idiots in the black Porsche driving down the road with the windows down in the pouring rain, with one person wiping the inside of the glass with a diaper and the other one hanging his hand out the window wiping the outside of the glass with a towel WHILE DRIVING. It's funny now, but it wasn't then!!!

BTW: one of the Idiots in the car had just finished installing RSR headers on the 911 so there was no heater. No Heater, no defrost. He gave me a blanket to keep warm. That defroster sure would have come in handy during that one crazy road trip!!!!!!!!!!!
