I'm curious, what is the silver thing by the battery on this car- part of a gas heater or something?

Hi Andrew...by the position and ducts...it's a gas heater...

4 cams didn't have a heater as part of the engine, exhaust, etc. so they came with the optional heater. There's one that got posted as a "for sale" on 356talk a couple of days ago, should you happen to have a heatless C2. (real C2s have 4 cams )

Robert thought it was a gas heater too. I took it a step farther and asked a mechanic friend who said it appears to be a Webasto Gasoline heater....

no smoking by the trunk....no smoking by the carbs in back....no smoking in the car. Not a good car if you're a smoker

mmm.. webasto.. great peice of kit. if anyone gets it, i have the wiring info etc for a webasto.
