Thanks to all of you who expressed interest in buying her. She is going back to her original owner who purchased her while in the Air Force in Germany. He drove her all over Europe while he was stationed there. He brought her back home with him, went on dates with his wife in her and only sold her when they bought their first home. A month ago we got a surprise email from him asking us if we'd sell her back to him. That was timing, in that we'd already decided to sell her, and in fact, had two other buyers lined up. I'm a little sad. Helga was our first 356 and we've had her for quite a while, but if she belongs with anyone, it's with him. What a great story huh???

That is so sad but Its a good story with a happy ending.

A piece of me truly believes that those of us who truly love our cars know at some level -- and this is going to sound crazy, OK, so here goes -- love us back. This is like a mother and father being re-united with their lost child. They will be happy again together -- and the circle closes.

So the search begins. They do say half the fun is in the search isn't it??
Helga may be here with us for a while yet waiting on the Transporter to pick her up. She's going back to California.
She's happy she is going home to see her 'real' dad.
