Default Looking for European 356 badge

Dear Porsche friends...I'm looking for this badge, probably from the 356 International meeting in Italy...in the picture, it's the one with the Porsche emblem, 356 in gold over black and Italy's flag colors (one at the upper right corner). Any leads would be appreciated...sorry for the poor image quality.
Thanks

Hey Pedro......
This kind of thing can usually be found at the Porsche Memorabilia Meet in LA held on the first weekend of Feb each year. But I see you are in FL. Oh well, just fly out for the weekend! LOTS of people do from all over the world. It's quite a Porsche event.
If that's not in the plans, try checking with the 356 club in Italy. You might be able to order directly from them. www.registroitalianoporsche356.it
Hope this helps......

i have alot of badges, but i dont have any 356 specific ones. (i do have a 1965 frankurt auto show badge, several badges from different adac races during the 60s and one from 78, several other german and a few austrian badges..)

here is the frankfurt auto show badge

one of the adac badges

ill see if i can get pics of a few more of my badges.. (the ones you see here are on my car.. the rest are in a box burried in my garage)

Nice badges Harry...the 1978 ADAC has a beautiful enameled surface... I'm looking for this Italian one as it's hard to find the Porsche crest in grille badges.

Well okay. We'll post a couple of pics of some of our badges...

You know I've talked to more than a couple of 356 mechanics that truly believe that mounting mulitple badges on the engine grills significantly cuts the volume of air geeting to the engine. This has been debated over and over but some of these "guru's" really think you can harm the engine.

from what i understand air doesnt come from the top of the engine where the grill is.. it comes from the front the engine where the fan is (towards the front of the car)

after all on 356s there is a piece of the deck lid that goes right under the grill.. which would hinder air comming in through there..

if thats the case, i would believe the grill would be for hot air to escape more than anything.. or perhaps just show. (after all vws dont really have grills.. just a thin vent)

btw.. look at the louvered peiece behind the grill in pedros avatar.. thats what im talking about. if it is for cooling (sucking air in) i would immagine it wouldnt be louverefd but non existant and straight through open to the engine.

Harry......I agree 100% with you! I've thought about what those mechanics were saying and it never really made sense to me. I can't see what harm it could cause unless you mounted every square inch of the grills with badges. And like you said it is more for heat to escape, not for cool air to "get in".

Hi guys, thanks for the pictures...the one from the 356 Club of Japan is super cool Robert!
I totally agree with you guys as far as mounting badges on the grille...of course you can't block the whole area of heat exchange but 2 or even 4 badges will not affect your cooling system...after all, the 356s, before the BT6, came with just one grille and they are not overheating!
Thanks for the advice Harry...I'm an eBay freak...I'm always there! : )

Good idea Harry...and instead of setting the fuelcock to "Reserve" you can pour some Scotch on the rocks! ; )
