Default Another Emory Outlaw on BaT

5 days to go (as of 6/9) and already bid to 725K

I am an idiot for selling my '55 Emory!

My dream build would be the appearance of a mild outlaw with all of the Emory upgrades. Agree with you, this one strays too far from the original design for me, but the build quality is out of this world.

Hey Ralph!

I agree. I like the slightly more stealth look.

Gary Emory and young son Rod built my '55.

I don't remember if I mentioned this before or not but when your/our '65 went back to the original owner it was treated to a mild outlaw build by Wilhoit with a twin plug 2.something and 200 hp.
It was damaged extensively on the way up to Monterey for the Historics. I'm sure it was re-done completely.

Your '55 looks perfect to me. Not too much, just a nice outlaw sitting low and bumpers sitting on a garage shelf. BTW, how wide are those rims? They look wider than 6", maybe 6.5 or 7"? Also like the stinger exhaust!

Jim Kellogg built them out to 7".

My second milder outlaw was a 58 with a 1720 in it.
paid 40 for it and EC sold it last year for 185.
🙄

Jim built the rims for my/your '65, 7" in the back and I believe 6.5" fronts. Porsche centers with Buick outers. I was never a purist! LOL

Part of me is glad it went back to the original owner but a bigger part of me wishes I still had her!!
