And here is how Mike Smith of PR Services in the UK recommends doing it: 1. We unsolder the Brake Single Filament Bulb Holder and pull it out - of course, only one holder per side needs changing (the Indicator Holder remains)
2. A quick clean up with a Dremel and the New Twin Filament Holders will just slide in and only require a dab of solder to produce a good earth and retain them
3. The Twin Filament holders are manufactured in the UK (all Brass) and I believe that they take a staggered pin bulb (I am at home so do not have one in front of me) – The wire connections are a small screw (a bit too small really but we have not had any come-backs)
4. When setting-in the new holders it is important to allow as much clearance as possible between the glass of the bulb and the Plastic Lens - if you sit with your foot on the brake the bulb generates a lot of heat and can melt the plastic
5. With regard to wiring, it is necessary to run a New Wire from the Brake light switch to one of the Tail units and then a link across
6. You will need the Red / Amber lenses also
