I am trying to decide which model is for me. Which styles have back seats big enough for a small kid? Do they usually have seat belts?
Speedster?
Conv. D?
Cabriolet?
thanks,
jason

Hi Jason,
Of the three models you list, only the Cabriolet has rear seats. The Speedster and Conv D as well as the Roadster were all rear seatless. I have heard of a few Roadsters that were special ordered with rear seats but not very many. The rear seats in a 356 Cab or Coupe are sized for kids or very small limber adults. But seatbelts are an aftermarket item. You would have to install them yourself. Which leads to the "de-valueing" issue if you modify a collectible car like the cars you are interested in. If you have shopped lately you probably know that prices for Speedsters are reaching $80 grand for a nice one. Convertible Ds are rare because they were only made one year, 1959. Cabs range from low 30s for one that needs some TLC to high 50s for a good one.

Great bunch of people and the best place to find a good car.
Good luck! Keep us posted with what you decide on.
