I would definitely get the sport shift. I got it on mine and I really love it.

C2S. I can definitely relate to all the waiter comments I have been reading about. Was driving up 101 at lunch and saw one passing me up.....definitely messes with your emotions....

Oh crap, I found out that my February build was moved to March!

Well, at least it will be delivered in nice weather (late April or early May).

Man, I just can't wait!

M5jatt,

Welcome to the Board! Aside from interior and exterior colors (but I do like your combination), your ride is speced remarkably like mine.

Give pause for a moment about adding PCCBs. Yes, an $8,000 option. But I have to tell you....it has become perhaps my favorite part of the car. The 'initial bite' you hear those speak of is remarkable. I mean, this thing STOPS and quite silently I might add. Then, you have the cool wickid looking mechanicals surrounding the yellow calipers. Look closely at the difference - if you have not compared the two - you should. Finally, no brake dust!!! And I mean....at ALL. I wash my wheels with soap and water - that's it.

It's expensive, but you are building a great ride!!! If i can get you to the edge of the decision, I will push you over.

I have the PCCB's on order for my C2S!

I finally got a chance to drive a C2S. Yes, I ordered the P car w/o even driving it! Holy crap! Man, NOW I'm dying to get my car in! March production? Noooo!

I would most highly recommend the PCCB's!

Yeah but be careful not to let your wife pull the same stunt on you as Adam's wife did on him. She wanted to get really expensive window treatments, I believe, and when Adam balked at the price she quoted, she asked him coolly, "And how much did those yellow brakes cost you again?" At which point Adam turned around and walked out of the room with his tail between his legs. Or something like that as I recall. Right, Adam?

I am sure this is covered some where else, but how long do the PCCB's last? I have gone through so many sets of pads and my rotors are all warped on my 996.

I'm at 15,000+ miles and though I haven't had them checked, I suspect they are nowhere close to needing new pads, and my guess is the pads will have exceptionally long wear. These brakes ARE awesome. Awfully damn expensive, and I hope I never have to buy a rotor, but very nice to have (I bought a launch car that had them).

I was able to change to pccb brakes shotly after ordering my c4s. Originally my salesman said it was too late make any changes.I then asked if he would be able to change them as an aftermarket add on. He thought he could but was unsure of the cost. My point is that down the road (hopefully 50m miles or more) if the pccb brake job with new rotors is 10 thousand or more you may have the option of switching to standard brakes for thousands less.I believe if you have PSM the rotors are interchangable. i'm pretty sure the rotors aren't interchangeable...if by that you meant that they use the same part #.

the ceramic's rotors are very different. no?

MJ5JATT, welcome to the board. I love your specs. Hang in there we will get you through this wait. Keep reading all the posts. I found it was very helpful, especially when I made some changes to my order. Keep the ceramics on the list. I know they're expensive, but from I hear worth it. I only wish I ordered them originally. To do afterwards is even more costly. Good luck and happy waiting.
