Default Some gratuitous bling pics

As promised some pics of the 2005 look.
We have Cobra Misanos in black leather @ around 8kg/18lbs saving ea over stock heated sports.
All the carbon panels are thanks to Jean who shared a great contact for these items.
The Doors and mirrors are Techart carbon with crash bar.

Nice bling! I've been thinking about getting the CF interior from LA Dismantlers and your pics are probably going to take me over the edge.

Love your car!

those are super cool looking seats (and minimalistic door panels), you
obviously have gone over the edge of "a hobby"

Toby you forgot the RS Tuning floor mats..

Are you saying that you replaced the entire door with a TechArt Carbon door? What did they weigh?

Yeah.....you wouldn't believe, I had to get written permission to use their logo.

Indeed - I first saw the doors at the Essen show in 1992 on a yellow 964 RS they did. I've lusted after a set ever since - the stock door shells weigh 17kg/38lbs and the Techart carbon about 5.5kg/12lbs.
One intersting feature the carbon doors have exposed - trying to shut them, the stock doors, 'cos of their weight shut really easily, but the Techarts either need a hard slam or to drop the windows down to release the pressure

I have a carbon hood going on next week stock ~15kg, Techart Carbon ~5.5kg

More pics to come when all is in situ.

YUK! It looks like my car!
Seriously, it looks amazing! The flash does not do justice to the door panels and the rest of CF, if you get a chance to take pictures with more light (if the sun ever chooses to shine over the UK), they will look much better. Door weight savings = 23Kgs I need to get my Aluminum ones on!

Looks amazing. Always loved the look of carbon interior bits.

Are the carbon pieces overlays of the factory plastic parts like the OEM or are they purely carbon?

All of our ten year old cars need an extreme makeover like Toby's.

Awesome, you make it even harder for me to sell my tt.
How is about road noise with the CF parts?

What is kind of funny is that Porsche also changed the order of the buttons in the cars middle, i.e. the cigarette lighter, fog light buttons and even the rear wiper switch for usabilitys sake.
I assume that the order of the pedals is the same as for a LHD, i.e. clutch is left hand pedal.
Is there any food rest for the left food like on LHD cars?

Poorb0yw

The carbon bits are plastic "carbon look" I think, same stuff as FVD sells - it is not the stick on, it replaces the original.

Stummel

Put some sound deadening mat in the doors and - just like stock, no noise at all. Have only tested seals up to about 130mph, but seem fine

Ethec

The seats are the lightest recliners on the market, they claim 10kg/22lbs, but with the recaro runners (the ones Cobra send you are cr@p) they weigh 17kg/37lbs each.
