So I wait out all those pics on my 20th century dial-up link and am denied. No picture of the lights popped-up.

I've sen a few slant-nose ( or is it slope-nose? I forget which the purists prefer. pish-posh) conversions but one with the H4s that pop up is a first for me.

I know, I have never seen this one before. The dealer, who has sold enough 928's to know, has the exact same headlights as the 928. I asked him if it could be like the 968 that just pop up a little and he said it was identical to the 928, same housing and everything !!!

The 1994 911 Turbo S was the only 911 that I know of that came with the 928 style lights. I think only 36 were made.

Did I miss it, or was the only reference to the headlights above one of the pics? I'd think this would be a unique feature to talk about. Go figure ...

I've seen a few DP 911's with this look.

The red car above looks like it has 968 headlight/fender lines.

The white car's fender/light looks more like a 928.

BTW, factory slant nose 911's used 944 popups.

Your right Scott. I see 911's all the time with the 968 look. I was just pointing out that the one on Ebay is the only one with the 928 look that I know of.

Nice photos, but it does prove why Porsche used the 968 headlights.....just goes with the round lines better IMHO. 911 is more bulbous and not as "streamlined" as the 928's front.

I think its a 936? Odd creation. I guess they wanted to up date the look of the Slantnose?

The 911 with 928 headlights started in the early 80's if not sooner. I have a magazine from the early 80's with two DP 911's with 928 headlights on the cover.

I believe the company that converted those 911's to the 928 front called it a 939- adding 11 to 28. I think Rinspeed might have made some, I know they put early 928 rear ends on 911's. I had a poster of one in grade school.

Quick Reply: 911 with a 928 front end ?????
