Default DIY day

I'm planning on doing the following to my car this weekend probably Sat

Oil change
Tranny fluid change
Random panels off to remove dirt
Front bumper off due to bad reinstallation job
Interior vaccuum due to OTE

Feel free to email me if you want to come by and watch Bozo at work.

I also have the following things for free

Engine tray
2 front S02s (225)

1 set of PS2s (235/295) potentially for sale. Nelson has first right of refusal.

Hey Jauder, I'll come by to pick up the engine tray and hopefully learn a few things. Email me directions and a time. I'll bring the beer if I can handle any more after friday night.

Jauder, what shape are the 225s in? If they are good, i'll gladly pay shipping and sick DHL on you to come pick them up.

They probably have 50% life on them. However, I prefer local as I'm usually swamped during the week.

So what do you want - a medal? And if you're doing it all on Saturday, you better start early.

Come by and watch you? Sorry, a little too far to drive from Pittsburgh. And if I WAS going to drive to the land of the fruits and nuts, there would be other things I would be doing than watch some numnut give himself blisters.

Have fun!

make sure the fill plug on the tranny can come off before you drain it! Ask me how I know.

Ray you forgot to tell him " before you get started dont forget to !"

Jauder If you were to practice keeping your car on the track you might not have to
remove so much dirt. However as Kelly said we could paint your car John Deere green and Yellow then it wouldnt matter!!!

Let me know if there's no local interest. I'd just have them picked up.
Actually, if you're in SFBA, I might ask a friend to come get them.

Doesn't sound like a very full DIY day, but rather something to do between breakfast and lunch. I'd be happy to help out if I were in the area. But you really won't need any extra hands for that job, except just maybe the tranny fluid.

Nah, just a nice relaxing day. Although I might be swearing somewhat at putting the bumper back on. The front weather stripping between the bumper and hood flew off while I was at the track so I'm going to try to get something from home depot to replace it.

Rick, thanks for the offer of help. I've done this before, and it's just regular maintenence for the car. Rennlist has been great in helping me better understand the car and I'm happy to share what I've learnt with others.

Jauder, when I seen your DIY, I thought for sure you'd be doing your turbochargers..

I would normally stop by as you are always good for some comic relief. I have a bunch of stuff to do today though as we are getting the new shop ready to move in....

Kevin - I am not sure Jauder is quite up to the task of doing his turbos. He is still having issues figuring out how the fender liners attach after he keeps riping them off on the track when he goes 4 wheeling. Maybe he will be ready next week for his turbo DIY though.....

Hey Bob,

Are you already in the new shop or is there a date for the opening yet? And is it indeed in Menlo Park as you told me it might be earlier? I certainly hope so.

The new shop is in Redwood City, just 3/4 of a mile up Bay from Marsh... So pretty darn close...
