‘Team Speed’ Member Shoots Stunning Zenith Blue Porsche 996
Rare and beautiful 996 911 is just one of many cool and interesting Porsche threads you’ll find over at our brother site.
As you may or may not already know, our brother site Team Speed is also filled with plenty of awesome Porsche content. That’s right, we don’t keep it all to ourselves here at Rennlist, of course. In addition to Porsche, Team Speed is also filled with pretty much every other kind of exotic car you can imagine, too. So when we came across this very cool Porsche 996 photo shoot from member DL599, we thought it would be prudent to also bring it to your attention. Mainly because the car is absolutely stunning to look at.
“Hello, my name is Damon and I’m an amateur photographer from Australia. Recently, I visited Brisbane and had the opportunity to shoot this beautiful Zenith Blue Porsche 996. This car is beautifully spec’d, and this is a rare color in Australia, being the only one in the state. The owner has put brand new 997 Turbo wheels on it and a Gemballa exhaust system. It also has the newer engine components as the early 996s had engine problems causing a recall. The owner plans to modify the interior and replace the brake calipers as well.”
Obviously, DL599’s fellow Team Speed members enjoyed his contribution.
“Such a stunning colour! Welcome to the team,” said strebo.
“Looks very similar to Cobalt, love the color,” added Stoppie. “Car would look better with brushed looking HRE or other wheels IMHO.”
Others couldn’t help but appreciate what the later wheels did for this earlier Porsche.
“Looks great with those wheels!” said RFFG.
“Wheels look great, that is the first time I have seen those .2 wheels on a 996,” added Bullitt44. “Great pictures, thank you for sharing.”
“Wheels make the car pop,” said Bagger. “The blue color is quite nice as well. I’ve always wondered why these wheels are so dang expensive since they are everywhere. I like ’em more than HREs for sure.”
And interestingly enough, Paul C has the same exact car in his own stable.
“I have a Zenith Blue 996 with the aero package locked away. In perfect showroom condition. It only does 300 kilometers per year.”
