Trio of reimagined 911s to appear at famed English hill climb, including two new commissions from Singer’s clientele.

For a decade now, Singer Vehicle Design has taken many a 911 and transformed each and every one into bespoke masterpieces for their owners. Who would know back in 2009 that the former frontman for Catherine Wheel (and cousin of Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson) — who once penned a song about his black 911 — would be in charge of making every 911 owner’s wildest dreams come true to this day?

Well, there’s no better way to celebrate Singer founder and creative director Rob Dickinson‘s vision than by bringing a trio of amazing 911s to the famed Goodwood Festival of Speed on the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex, England, scheduled for July 4 through 7.

“We want to highlight the achievement and celebrate with the enthusiasts at Goodwood the epic results of the teamwork we have fostered over four years of extraordinary focus to reimagine the most advanced air-cooled Porsche 911,” said Dickinson.

Said 911 is, of course, the Dynamics and Lightweight Study, which we saw in person at Monterey Car Week last year. The 911 will have a new wrap for its appearance at this year’s Goodwood, and will wield its 500-horsepower flat-six up and down the hill, as well.

In addition to the 911 DLS, Singer will also bring out two customer cars to the hill climb, the Mulholland Commision and the Sussex Commission. The former wears a custom topography map in blue and white, with the famed Mulholland Drive winding its way from the ducktail and over the roof to the right front fender. The driving lights mounted on the hood add an extra layer of coolness to the whole affair, and are much welcome when driving on the namesake California road.

The latter is more sedate, keeping things clean with dark gray paint and ghost ‘Porsche’ logo decals on the sills, a color scheme befitting of the gray days over the English countryside. Singer says this car “is an example of a discrete gentleman’s race car for the road,” one that can be dailied while still knocking the socks off the competition on the track.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it across the Pond to check out these amazing works of art from Singer. The company says it’ll be back at The Quail for Monterey Car Week 2019 with even more bespoke 911s to dazzle your senses.
