Rudyfied: Porsche Love Story by eGarage

Welcome to the world of Rudy Macinas and his extravagant Porsche collection.

Our buds at eGarage were able to link up with a collector named Rudy down in Texas to get a peek inside of his personal garage. The fleet is focused around the 964 and 993 model air-cooled 911 Carreras, and  his life’s mission is to collect each color of each of those two generations. But the magic doesn’t end there.

Rudy’s passion isn’t just for collecting but for modifying, cleaning and keeping the cars in pristine driving condition. Check out the video below, his cars are so clean and doctored with a good camera to catch the action.

After being a modern liquid-cooled Porsche owner for some time Rudy, wanted to find his wife an antique 356 model Porsche as a gift. After hunting with his car-locating specialist for just the right one, his specialist redirected him to a more inspiring refined air-cooled model—the Porsche 964. They found a Cabriolet and fell in love, and the rest is history.

The feel, sound, smell and spirit forever changed Rudy and his sweetheart.

He quickly grew an affinity for the air-cooled era Porsches, and traded the cabrio for a 964 coupe post-haste. After that, Rudy states his friend turned him on to the 993 generation, and he quickly scooped up a velvet red coupe. That was followed up with purchase of a canary yellow C4S 993.  His  garage is interesting not just for the wide variety of models, but also for Rudy’s undeniable flair for wheel choices, body colors and components like matching seat belts, deviating brake calipers and big wings.

My favorite part of the video is where he speaks about a fellow Rennlist member contacting him to check out his collection and was offered the chance to pick up models he’d been hoping to snag for nearly five years.  The connection here made on Rennlist was the key finding his one and only dream car—a Rivera Blue 993 Turbo Coupe—and shows just how valuable a resource the community can be. It brings everyone at RennList great joy that the forum could connect these two gentlemen.
