Review: Jim Donnelly Photo – Porsche Photography at Its Finest
L.A. artist is the best thing to happen to the Porsche since the Boxster.
If there’s one thing we never get tired of, it’s staring at some fine Porsche photography. There’s just something about the lines of our favorite cars that lends themselves so well to the keen eye of an artistic shutterbug. So when we came across the works of a talented man known as Jim Donnelly, we knew we had to share them with you.
Donnelly captures all sorts of things on film, including special events, portraits, weddings and landscapes. But we’re most interested in his fine collection of automotive photography, particularly those with a Porsche as the subject. And the Los Angeles-based freelance photographer has plenty of stellar shots on his site for you to peruse.
We found his work with the ever photogenic Singer Porsche to be of particular interest. But then again, we find anything relating to these rolling works of art interesting. In addition to some completed and in-progress Singer builds, Donnelly also has a couple of stunning Porsche motorsports pics to drool over as well.
And if you get tired of looking at all of the fine automotive shots, be sure and check out his cool concert photos. There are some truly amazing stills in there capturing everything from frantic mosh pits to a fiery shot of Metallica front man James Hetfield. No matter what your taste in music — or cars — they’re all worth a look.
