As a Porsche owner, my guess is that you don’t need to be reminded of the fact that you love your car. But sometimes, isn’t it nice to be reminded that everyone else does too?

Well, that’s pretty much what the latest JD Power’s Sales Satisfaction Index is telling us, as Porsche ranked number one among all luxury cars owners. Infiniti came in second, Mercedes-Benz third, and BMW and Cadillac tied for fourth.

Buick, who’s been on a customer-satisfaction roll as of late, ranks highest among mass-market brands, with 2010 through 2015 winner MINI finishing second. Buick’s fellow General Motors teammates, Chevrolet and GMC, ranked third and fourth.

For 2016, its 30th year of polling, JD Powers interviewed 28,979 buyers who bought or leased a new car in April or May. They conducted the polling from July through September, performing “a comprehensive analysis of the new-vehicle purchase experience,” according to J.D. Power’s press release.

The owners are polled about not just their ownership experience, but also the dealership experience, and their experiences at those dealerships they didn’t end up purchasing from.

The study also has much to say about car buying trends, most interestingly that those dealers who offered “product specialists” ultimately offer a more satisfying ownership experience. Meaning that if there’s someone who can show you how all the new tech works, then you’re more likely to enjoy the new tech, and therefore the car.

Seems like a genius job position, which would certainly pay for itself. Did you speak to a product specialist when you bought your Porsche? We’d love to hear about it.
