Porsche Teams with Playmobil for Battery-powered Mission E

Porsche Mission E Playmobil toy

Plastic, remote-controlled reproduction toys with Porsche greatness. And it will even star in its own movie!

The Mission E excited Porsche enthusiasts by representing a fully electric vehicle with classic Porsche sports car style. As we know, the Mission E concept ultimately became known as the Taycan. But don’t give up on playing with a Mission E just yet.

Toymaker Playmobil has created an RC Mission E. We’re not sure why they chose the Mission E moniker over the Taycan, but it’s so cool, we’re not going to overthink it. Made of plastic and running on AAA batteries, the car is a mini-E that still delivers on cool Porsche design. Measuring at 10.8″ x 4.3″ x 3″, the Mission E costs $60, and will be available for purchase in August. This ahead of it’s big movie debut in Rex Dasher’s Porsche Mission E. In the film (yes, it is intended for kids) the Porsche takes center stage as super-spy Rex Dasher’s “iconic secret agent car.”

Like any awesome toy, it comes with plenty of accessories. Plus, it has great details such as working lights and Porsche badging. The included charger is just for show, but clearly it has taken its cue from the Mission E and its fast charger.

We love the details on the toy and think Playmobil has nicely captured the classic Porsche style and spirit. And it is no surprise. They have done a number of battery-powered Porsche RC cars; a Porsche 911 Targa 4S, Porsche Macan GTS, and Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

Call them toys, or call them radio-controlled cars. Either way, we call them awesome.
