Is This Another Hint at Porsche’s Chimera Coupe-SUV?
The rumors of a Porsche that will rival the fugly BMW X6, Mercedes Benz GLE Coupe, and even the Tesla Model X run high at the moment. But how could they not, when Porsche hasn’t tried too hard to keep its SUV-ish prototype secret?
Besides the above secretive, teasing image being leaked on the internet, which shows an oddly proportioned Porsche SUV, various publications around the world have snapped photos of a coupe-like SUV roaming around Zuffenhausen without any camo. Whether this is the Porsche Chimera that’s been rumored for years, or simply a Cayenne Coupe, nobody knows quite yet. Heck, it’s even been said that this is a fully-electric model designed to directly compete with the Tesla Model X; though that seems highly unlikely.

With sales of the Cayenne Hybrid at an all-time high, and Audi set to release their E-Tron SUVs by 2018, it’s only a matter of time until Porsche jumps on the bandwagon. Though having a fully functional prototype like the one pictured in these various Tweets isn’t all that realistic.
In the end, we’re left with more questions than answers, so all we can do is wait!
