Porsche 918 Spyder vs. LaFerrari: World’s Most Expensive Race?

By -

Million dollar hypercars equal a combined total of $3,000,000 as father and son challenge one another on the track.

Texas’ hot summer nights got a lot hotter when two supercars decided to roll over to the San Antonio Raceway for an intense track battle to prove which is the speediest.

And when a $1.35 million Ferrari LaFerrari and a $950,000 Porsche 918 Spyder hit the track, you just know it’s going to be a hell of a good show. We just didn’t expect it to be over with so, um, fast, like in 10.47 seconds. However, we weren’t too surprised by the final outcome.

Making the race even more interesting are the drivers. The Porsche is being driven by Leo from Texas’ Performance HQ, and he’s going up against his son, Connor, in the Ferrari LaFerrari. It’s all about the launch up front, but in the end, there is one additional aspect that proves to be vital: traction. And the end result shows that Italian stallions can be trumped by German horses.

All things considered, maybe the LaFerrari is more show than go.
