Finding a new office chair can be difficult. If you spend a lot of time in one, like I do, there are many things to consider. One of those, of course, is personal comfort. Automotive seats, for the most part, are designed for driver comfort over extended periods of time. It would stand to reason, then, a seat from the Porsche 911 would make an excellent office chair. Porsche now will sell you one!

The Porsche Driver’s Selection office chair is made from the same chair that you can order in a new Porsche 911. It’s height adjustable, and the armrests adjust. Since it’s basically a chair straight from the car, the seat has a power recline function from a rechargeable pair of batteries. The seatback has a hook for it for your jacket. Really, is there anything more you can ask for?

Oh, the price. You want to know the price? I see. Well, if you were to order the 4-way Plus Sport seats on the 911, they’d run you $800 for the two. However, if you want one of these seats attached to a gas strut and 5 casters, Porsche will sell you the office chair for $5,690.

You can’t put a price on looking good, though. And for the right enthusiast, this is probably perfect.
