When you drop your car off at the dealership, you expect certain things to happen. You expect whatever service you’re looking to have done will be completed in a timely manner. But there are things you don’t expect, such as your car rolling off the edge of the dealership showroom parking lot into a large body of water. It seems like, however, that’s a major problem at one dealership.

That very thing happened in Amsterdam with a new Porsche 911 GT3 RS. While it looks like it should just be parked with the other cars, this valuable ride ended up in the drink. What exactly happened?

That’s unclear. The Gulf-liveried car doesn’t seem to be physically damaged (aside from water, of course) so it looks more like the car rolled into the drink instead of being driven there. Could the parking brake not have been set and the car rolled, or was it mismanagement from the dealership? We simply don’t know yet. We also don’t know who in their right mind would build a dealership so close to the water without some sort of rail to prevent this very thing from happening.

What we do know is that this car probably is still commanding a significant price above sticker, even with the water damage. Because, you know, RS.
