Rare 3.6 Turbo 964 gem is a black beauty with only 14,689 original miles, and it’s available in the Rennlist Marketplace.

Often, the word “wow” can be an understatement. However, in this case, it’s the perfect word to sum up the thoughts of every Porsche enthusiast looking at this fantastic example of a 911. If ever you considered buying a turbo 964, now is the time to act.

Rennlist user Machinist is offering this beauty up for sale. It is undoubtedly one of the best examples of a 964 turbo on the market right now.

What makes it so unique, you ask? Well, for starters, it’s black with an all-black interior. This combo has become a hot commodity across virtually every brand of car, and Porsche is undoubtedly no exception. Something about the dark paint especially compliments the amazing lines of the 964.

Furthermore, a 3.6 turbo is a rare beast indeed. Up until 1993, the Turbo 964 911s came with a 3.3-liter engine. However, for the 1993 model year, Porsche bumped the displacement up to 3.6. Being that 1994 was the last model year for the 964, the 3.6 Turbo examples only saw two years of production.

The real kicker, though, is the fact that this car only has 14,689 original miles on it. Just finding this engine and color combo is hard enough, but to add to it the fact that it has so few miles means you’re looking at a real gem.

Gems, traditionally, are not all that affordable. The asking price on this gorgeous piece of air-cooled history is $320,000. That is the reduced price, too. In September 2019, the seller commented on the thread saying he lowered the price and wants to sell it to make room in the garage for a Singer. That, too, is a decision we can support. Though we would have a hard time letting this remarkable 911 go.

As of January 21st, 2020, this car is still for sale. The owner updated the thread recently, stating that it has had its turbocharger rebuilt twice due to a leaking seal, as well as an ABS booster pump replacement, valve cover gasket replacement, and a brake system flush. Additionally, he states that he has 33 pages in PDF format of detailed service history and even the original window sticker. He also states that the wheels have recently been refurbished.

If this car is something you are interested in buying, we highly recommend you jump on it. There is a good chance you won’t see another one like it for sale any time soon. Multiple interested parties have reached out, so you wouldn’t want to miss your chance! We hope it winds up with a responsible owner who will drive it and enjoy it while keeping its breathtaking condition in check.
