GT3 Touring

Stunning paint-to-sample GT3 Touring will likely never lose much value and pay you dividends in the form of driving enjoyment.

Some cryptocurrencies have offered truly dizzying returns. However, they are also notoriously unstable. What is not unstable is the Porsche GT car market. If you are lucky enough to land any GT car, depreciation is a foreign concept to you. From the relatively affordable GT4 to the rather pricey GT2 RS, these cars retain or even gain value at an impressive rate. Of course, that being said we always advise buying a car because you love it, and you want to drive it. Not because you think it can make you money as an investment. There are plenty of ways to invest, but a car, especially a GT car, is meant to thrill you in ways that go beyond your account balance.

Bring a Trailer recently offered up this beautiful GT3 Touring, and we’re sure it’s thrilling the current owner. The Touring model lops off the big wing, and in exchange gives you a manual transmission. Yes, the PDK is brilliant. However, the manual transmission in the GT3 reminds us why we love to change gears with a clutch and a stick. But this GT3 Touring is special even beyond the standard specifications. That is because this car is far from standard.

The original owner created a wonderful build. The highlight being the paint-to-sample Granite Green Metallic exterior. Other key options include ceramic brakes, full bucket seats, and of course the all-important painted vehicle keys. The car originally stickered for $189,540 but bidding is already well beyond that amount. It will likely take upwards of $250K to put this in your garage.

The car only had 1,200 miles on it, and has had four owners. Likely some car flippers in that ownership history rather than Porsche enthusiasts. This car is a beautiful modern classic, and really should be enjoyed on the road. If you bought this car and don’t intend to drive it, maybe you can lend it to your favorite Rennlist writer. We would be happy to put some miles on the car for you and tell you what it was like.

Interior

This GT3 Touring is a special car in a special color. Porsche has made some fantastic cars over the years and this might be one of the absolute best. Yes, the standard GT3 has more downforce and will be marginally quicker at the track.

Although most owners would rarely push the cars hard enough to even notice. And even if the Touring car was a tenth or two slower around your local track would you really care? You would be having just as much fun. Besides, the subtle look means the GT3 Touring is for those in the know. The average person on the street would think it was just a regular 911. Of course, the average person on the street can’t tell the difference between a Cayman and a 911 Turbo but that is besides the point.

GT3 Touring

At least it is free to drool over all the pictures. There will come a time when Porsche no longer makes cars like this. At that point, whatever price you paid for this one will seem like a bargain. And this is a hell of a lot more fun to own than Dogecoin.
