Teens Steal Porsche and Cash, Go on Epic Spending Spree

At least these generous criminals are good to their moms, even buying one a Hellcat.

Let’s face it, owning and driving a Porsche is what most would consider “the good life.” There’s something undeniably great about being able to get behind the wheel of a fine sports car and let a little spirited driving melt away all the stresses of the daily grind. It’s a privilege, really, one that most Porsche owners worked hard to achieve.

Unfortunately, lowlife criminals can skip those steps and jump straight to Porsche ownership, if but for a short period of time. And that’s exactly what happened to six Florida car thieves recently. Ranging in age from 14 to 16, the culprits reportedly broke into a Fort Pierce family’s home and stole not only a 2014 Porsche Cayman, pictured above, but also $200,000 in cash and a pair of guns, according to the Sun Sentinel.

Heartwarmingly, one of the crooks even bought his mom a Dodge Hellcat and
picked up a Mercedes C300 for his brother. Touching.

Now, we admit that keeping that much cash in your house is probably not a very smart idea. But it is what the thieves did with the cash that makes this story so unique. Instead of laying low until the heat wore off the group decided to live a (brief) life of absolute luxury, which included splurging on an $11,000 set of gold teeth, a $10,000 gold chain, and a $3,500 gold bracelet. Heartwarmingly, one of the crooks even bought his mom a Dodge Hellcat and picked up a Mercedes C300 for his brother. Touching.

The teens were arrested following a two-month investigation and were quick to offer up the details of their crime. They simply went door to door until they found a house where no one answered. Once inside, they snagged a safe and the Porsche. After prying the safe open and finding the cash, the group wisely flashed it around at a local Marathon gas station. Even smarter, one of the boys reportedly told a witness, “We going to jail soon, might as well have fun.”

Police are still trying to recover all of the goods purchased with the stolen money. But thankfully, it looks like the Porsche is just fine. No word on whether the gold teeth sustained any damage, however.
