Secret Stellar Porsche Collection Revealed!

By -

Check out one of the most impressive collections of Porsche products, from modern race cars to a vintage tractor.

The video above comes to us from the Car Throttle YouTube channel and it showcases one of the most impressive collection of Porsche products that we have ever seen. Making the collection even that much more unique is the fact that this group of high performance German automobiles is owned by a woman, a rarity in a collector hobby dominated by men. Although many people wonder if the collection belongs to the man in her life, Lisa Taylor is the proud owner of so many cars that she won’t even put a number on it.

Meet Lisa Taylor

The collection in the video above is owned by Lisa Taylor, who works at a vice president of an unnamed aerospace company. She is also a collector of Ferraris and McLarens, but the bulk of her incredible collection are from Porsche. Taylor was raised by a car guy dad who owned Ferrari Testarossa serial #1, so it comes as no surprise that she loves cars as well. She was so into cars as a child that she built her first car and began driving when she was 15 years old.

She goes on to explain that she was driving a Mazda RX-7 in the early 1980s, a car that she believed was a great performance car, until a friend asked her to drive his 911. She did so and was immediately hooked, quickly selling her Mazda and buying her first Porsche.

Since then, she has accumulated what has to be one of the largest collections of Porsche products in the world, although she won’t disclose exactly how many cars she owns. If nothing else, her collection has to be the biggest female-owned Porsche lineup in the world and it is nothing short of awesome to see all of the vehicles that she has chosen for her stable.

Sprawling Collection

During the course of the video, Lisa Taylor talks about how she came to love the Porsche brand, Monterey Car Week and Michelin tires. Her favorite car is a 1973 911 Oslo that she uses for road rallies, and to make it more comfortable for long drives, she has added an aftermarket radio and air conditioning. Her first race car was a 911 GT3 RS owned by Patrick Dempsey and her most unusual Porsche is a 1956 tractor, which she raced against another classic Porsche tractor at a recent owner’s event.

Taylor loves Porsche so much that she has named two of her large dogs Turbo and Targa, and she does allow her pets to ride in her cars, so Turbo and Targa have spent time riding in her 911 Turbo Targa.

Towards the end of the video, Taylor of three friends hit the street in a quartet of her brightly-colored Porsche cars, making for an interesting site with four uniquely-colored sports cars cruising together on the open road.

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years. "He owned a repair shop and had a variety of performance cars when I was young, but by the time I was 16, he was ready to build me my first drag car – a 1983 Dodge Mirada that ran low 12s. I spent 10 years traveling around the country, racing with my dad by my side. While we live in different areas of the country, my dad still drag races at 80 years old in the car that he built when I was 16 while I race other vehicles, including my 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and my 1972 Dodge Demon 340.

"Although I went to college for accounting, my time in my dad’s shop growing up allowed me the knowledge to spend time working as a mechanic before getting my accounting degree, at which point I worked in the office of a dealership group. While I was working in the accounting world, I continued racing and taking pictures of cars at the track. Over time, I began showing off those pictures online and that led to my writing.

"Ten years ago, I left the accounting world to become a full-time automotive writer and I am living proof that if you love what you do, you will never “work” a day in your life," adds Rall, who has clocked in time as an auto mechanic, longtime drag racer and now automotive journalist who contributes to nearly a dozen popular auto websites dedicated to fellow enthusiasts.

"I love covering the automotive industry and everything involved with the job. I was fortunate to turn my love of the automotive world into a hobby that led to an exciting career, with my past of working as a mechanic and as an accountant in the automotive world provides me with a unique perspective of the industry.

"My experience drag racing for more than 20 years coupled with a newfound interest in road racing over the past decade allows me to push performance cars to their limit, while my role as a horse stable manager gives me vast experience towing and hauling with all of the newest trucks on the market today.

"Being based on Detroit," says Rall, "I never miss the North American International Auto Show, the Woodward Dream Cruise and Roadkill Nights, along with spending plenty of time raising hell on Detroit's Woodward Avenue with the best muscle car crowd in the world.
