Cut seconds off your lap times with an exciting new Cayman GT4 aero package from group of geniuses at Verus Engineering.

When it comes to factory-built hot rods like the Cayman GT4, we rarely think about tinkering with things like aerodynamics. After all, Porsche spent a lot of time developing them in a wind tunnel, so how much can we really gain by changing them? Turns out, quite a bit, in fact. A company called Verus Engineering, comprised of a group of very smart motorsports enthusiasts, has become quite good at making fast cars faster through the use of advanced aero. And that includes this amazing Cayman GT4, which wears their Ventus 2 Aero Package.

Verus has worked with IndyCar teams and the sanctioning body, NASCAR teams, and World Endurance Car (WEC) teams, so you know they’re legit. But they also offer their highly advanced products to the public. That includes this particular Porsche. It sports an aero package specifically designed to improve speed carried through corners, available grip, and lateral acceleration. All of which translates to faster lap times.

Each piece of the Ventus 2 Aero Package was designed to work together to provide an overall balanced feel at the track. And it consists of multiple components, of course. The front splitter is fashioned from carbon thermoplastic, an extremely durable material used in many professional racing bodies. It works in tandem with a set of carbon front diffusers and a carbon air dam. Even better, it’s easily removable if you need the extra clearance for street driving.

Also up front, Verus’ Dual-Element Dive Plane (Canard) Kit helps improve front-end downforce. Side splitters lead back to the rear of the Cayman GT4, which features a host of components. That includes a flat aluminum underbody panel and carbon rear diffuser that work in tandem to provide seamless airflow. The package is topped off by a rather large and lightweight (9 pounds) carbon rear wing with aluminum uprights and mounts. The wing can even be installed using factory mounts, so no additional modification is required.

So how well does all this kit work at the track? Well, just the wing alone resulted in a 2.5-second reduction at Thunderhill. And a 3.3 second improvement at Laguna Seca. All on a relatively stock GT4 at only 4 degrees angle. That, friends, is extremely impressive. So if you own a Cayman GT4 that you track on a regular basis and want to vastly improve your performance, head over here for all the juicy details on Verus’ exciting Ventus 2 Aero Package.
