Porsche Cayenne Diesels Dragged Into VW Scandal

What have you done, Volkswagen, what have you done!?

The bleeding from the scandal now recognized as dieselgate hasn’t stopped yet, and new wounds have opened in more companies under the VW umbrella.

After federal regulators labeled an additional family of 3.0-liter V6 diesel engines as having “defeat devices” to help skirt emissions regulations, VW has ordered additional stop-sales for Audi, Porsche, and more Volkswagens.

These are the additional vehicles affected by this mess:

Audi A6 TDI: 2014-2016
Audi A7 TDI: 2014-2016
Audi A8 TDI: 2014-2016
Audi Q5 TDI: 2014-2016
Audi Q7 TDI: 2013-2016
Porsche Cayenne Diesel: 2014-2016
Volkswagen Touareg TDI: 2013-2016

According to the Detroit News, Porsche said the entire situation was surprising and that its diesel Cayennes were “fully compliant.” Turns out that’s false.
