Default Side markers swap with PPF installed

My 718 GTS is currently getting PPF work done and I will not have it until Monday.
By looking at side marker swap installation videos, I now realize that pulling out the existing side marker may lift the edges of the PPF surrounding the side marker, especially on a relatively fresh PPF installation. In retrospect, I probably should have done the swap prior to getting the PPF work done.

Has anyone performed the side marker swap after having PPF work done and experienced any issues? In general, how tight does the side marker fit? does it "rub" against the painted surfaces of the bumper/fender when pulled out?

Not sure if you are still here on realist but I have the same dilemma. I installed PPF two weeks ago but forgot to install the side markers first. What do you suggest?

I swapped my side markers after PPF was isntalled. I had no lifting issues. Honestly a lot of it will depends on your installer but the reason mine had no lifting issues is because my installer removed the side markers before installed the PPF. You should ask if yours did the same or just check where the seems are. If you do get some lifting, it it with a touch of heat from a heat gun or hair dryer and it should melt the glue enough to get it to stick back to the car.
