Hadjopulos Bring A Trailer Auction of 1993 993 Porsche 911 Targa

Massive private car collection features some stellar Stuttgart examples.

A Texas-based private collector known only as “Mr. Hadjopulos” has evidently been collecting cars for quite a long time. The collection spans everything from a 1903 Orient Buckboard to modern supercars and even a couple project cars and resto-mods. Included in the group is a handful of very cool Porsches. While the first round of bidding has ended, a second set of auctions is set to go up mid-January.

Hadjopulos has partnered with the automotive auction website Bring a Trailer to thin out his herd. A whole host of cars from his collection are being sold with no reserve. The first round of bidding ended December 18, but the second round coming in January might be even better for Porsche collectors.

1993 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Targa sold on Bring A Trailer from Texas

This 1993 Porsche Carrera 2 Targa sold for $35,964. While it has decently high mileage (72,727 miles) for a 911 and has been in a minor accident, it is still in remarkably good shape. The prices of the iconic 993 are rapidly increasing, so even with the mileage and history, this could turn out to be a sound investment. This Guards Red on Tan C2 also comes with its original toolkit and factory manuals. Even if it never gets brought back to full show quality, this car will make an excellent driver.

Equally as stunning is this remarkably well-kept 1985 Porsche 944. With only 40,000 original miles and a full set of service records, factory manuals, and the original toolkit, this sale was a steal at only $16,100. Finding a 944 in this condition is getting harder and harder. Though not entirely held to the praise of its rear-engine cousin, the 944 is still quite collectible. Additionally, one in this condition with this mileage could easily see a steady price increase over time, especially with the gorgeous Graphite Metallic finish.

While the chance to purchase these particular cars has come and gone, there is more to come. If the pricing scheme stays similar, collectors will want to keep a watchful eye on this collection. According to Bring A Trailer, a 1974 Carrera Coupe, 1973 911 Targa, and even a 1963 356 1600 Super are coming to auction. Additionally, they list something solely as “1957 Porsche Replica.” If we had to guess, we’d say it’s likely a 356 Speedster replica.

So, if you are in the market for some beautiful Porsche heritage, we highly recommend you keep an eye on this collection going to auction. You might miss a deal you’ll regret for a long time!
