Are Porsche GT2 RS Prices Already Coming Down?

Porsche GT2 RS

Have the days of six-figure markups on the Porsche GT2 RS come to an end? Our members sure seem to think so.

In terms of freshness, the Porsche GT2 RS is still a very much new vehicle. It also happens to be one of the fastest and most capable cars ever built, by anyone. Thus, common logic might dictate that obtaining a new GT2 RS would require a little voodoo, lots of luck, and piles of cash. But according to some Rennlisters, that might not be the case any more. Make no mistake – you won’t be scoring a new Porsche GT2 RS for MSRP. But it does looks like prices might be coming down a little.

While some believe that allocations have dried up, Es macht nichts reports that this isn’t the case at all.

“OP, make some calls. There are several available at considerable ADMs. Some of which have been posted by other Rennlisters in this section and in the for sale section within the last few days.”

Meanwhile, 996AE might have found the “cheapest” Porsche GT2 RS on dealer lots, anywhere.

“Newport Beach, CA Porsche Dealer had one on the floor last week. MSRP plus 50k.”

And even if the OP can’t get that kind of deal, usctrojanGT3 does note that he’s seen several available at higher markups.

“Dealers are sitting on plenty of speccable allocations with hefty ADMs. Just call around for the lowest ADM.”

Heck, Golden Boy seemingly can’t get dealers to stop trying to sell him one.

“Call around. Multiple dealers keep hounding me to buy one. Of course with ADM. The funny part is I have never approached any dealer for a GT2 RS.”

Could it be that there’s actually a surplus of Porsche GT2 RS inventory sitting around? It seems hard to believe, of course. But it’s hard to argue with what people like Yippiekiaye are seeing.

“Have seen several of these for $50k over MSRP. Are the $175-$200k ADMs a thing of the past?”

Then again, we’ve seen this kind of thing before, as usctrojanGT3 notes.

“Happened before with the .1 RS. The AMDs were around $100k-$125k at the peak. Then, towards the end of production with Porsche pushing out more allocations the ADM got down to $20k-$25k over. History will repeat itself as these are not numbered cars. Heck, even the R will be down in the $200s in short order. There are only so many well-heeled buyers who don’t mind paying a six figure ADM out there. And once these cars aren’t the new shiny toys, they will fall back towards MSRP like a rock.”

Thus, perhaps those who exhibited a little patience in buying a new Porsche GT2 RS might soon be richly rewarded. But we want to know – what sort of ADMs have you seen while shopping around? Do you think that we’re nearing the bottom of GT2 RS prices? Head over here and let us know what you think!
