997.2 GT3 Casually Rips Epic Donuts at Hoonigan Burnyard
350 WHP is more than enough to get a little bit rowdy, even when sporting 325 section-width rear semi-slicks on a GT3.
Few cars on the road catch as much attention as a GT3 will. Loud aerodynamics and elegant design in a instantly recognizable package make sure that these GT cars dominate the road they are driving. Another thing that makes sure you are paying attention? Well, what about a 3.8L 8,400 RPM flat-six that screams every chance it gets? There isn’t really much better than a proper GT3. Thanks to the constant shenanigans on the Hoonigan YouTube channel, we get to check out a beautiful example of a 997.2 GT3 in stunning Carrera White.
The owner of this 997 is Ali Falahi and he has taken the time out of his day to let us check out his Porsche at the Hoonigan Burnyard in Irwindale, California. According to Falahi, this is his track car through and through. He states that he has taken it to all the local California tracks and that’s mainly what its purpose is. That’s definitely something we like to hear and see, because there are few cars as capable and intended for all day track duty than a GT3. If you haven’t take your GT3 out to the track yet, prep the car and sign up for the next available track day (thank us later)!
As far as modification goes we will start with the most obvious of the bunch, the stunning 3-piece E88 BBS wheels finished with polished barrels and gold centers. This is definitely the key statement piece of the car and gold and white are without a doubt one of our favorite color combinations. These wheels really bring the aesthetic value of this 997 up a couple notches. The rear wheel size is a 19×12 with a 325/30/19 Toyo R888R, so you know this Porsche means business. As far as suspension goes, Falahi has upgraded arms and links in the front with the stock adjustable coilovers. He mentions he is running a GT3 Cup front end with CSF radiators in the front.
According to Falahi, the engine is completely stock except for the straight-piped exhaust. The interior features Recaro Pole Position seats, an OMP steering wheel and a BBi Roll cage. We have to say that this car is modified a good amount, but far from over the top. We have say it is a near perfect balance between a street car and dedicated track beast. Cheers to Falahi, the car is beautiful and we hope you enjoy it!
