Finding no threads matching his needs, Rennlist forum member starts one for others to share photos of their 991 Turbos’ aftermarket wheels.

Have you been to our Rennlist forums yet? If you haven’t, you certainly should come on over! There’s a lot to find and share there. After introducing yourself, you can head over to threads focused on your Porsche (or the one you want), check out our vendors’ sales campaigns, see what your fellow forum members have done on their rides, and so on.

You can even create a thread for something you have questions about if you couldn’t find answers elsewhere. One member, MotoJB, couldn’t find any threads about aftermarket wheels for 991-era 911 Turbos. So, he made one.

“I searched and saw plenty of vendor wheel posts but (unless I’m mistaken) I didn’t find any organized thread focused on aftermarket wheels for the 991 Turbo,” the poster wrote. “IMO, this section needs one!”

Thus, he opened a thread welcoming one and all to post photos of their 991 Turbo and Turbo S models with aftermarket wheels, as well as sizing info for their wheels to help others looking for the right wheels.

The poster himself has swapped out wheels on his 996-era 911 Turbo five times in the four years he owned it before trading it in for his 2014 991 911 Turbo. While it currently wears the stock wheels, he plans to swap them out for a set of 20-inch Brooks Forged units in a cleared black finish. The set can still use the stock Michelin rubber, a plus for anyone looking at that particular set.

Member Elliott991TS dropped his red beauty in the thread, whose wheels are 21-inch HRE P101s on Pirelli P-Zeroes.

Meanwhile, Dennis C outfitted his 991 Turbo with AG Luxury 23 monoblocks in Champagne Gloss Clearcoat. The wheels pop against the brown paint and matching soft top.

Even one of our vendors, Wheels Boutique, turned up with a trio of photos of 991 Turbos they’ve worked on, including the above blue model with HRE wheels.

If you happen to have a 991 Turbo with aftermarket wheels, why not hop over to the thread and show them off! Who knows? You might even make a few new friends.
