The GT4 Clubsport is a precise weapon for track-day dominance.

The Cayman has come a long way since Porsche released the car back in 2006. What was once a buy into a new market for Porsche has become a staple. More and more people have grown into the brand. This is thanks to the Cayman and its continued refinement over the years. The Cayman is no longer the car you would buy if you couldn’t afford a 911. It has come into its own as a respectable sports luxury item.

However, this Cayman is far from your standard road car. This is the GT4 Clubsport. A track-only beast that you can’t put a license plate on. That may be a disappointment to some. Most change their minds after hearing the unrestricted 3.8L dry-sump powered flat-six. The standard GT4 is 6-speed manual only. This Clubsport is a PDK and has 911 GT3 front suspension. Obviously, the race car is not the same as the road car.The reason we are presenting this information to begin with is simple. A 2016 Cayman GT4 Clubsport is currently up for sale, here on Rennlist. The car is amazing, thus, we have to talk about it.

According to owner and Rennlist user Dpeterman, this Cayman is located in Southbury, Connecticut. It has just finished 3rd in the 2019 PCA Trophy Series East Championship. Meaning this car has some pedigree and podiums. The car is in perfect working order and is maintained by Hairy Dog Garage. It was also retubbed in 2017 and had a replacement clip, new dampers, and steering rack in 2019.

The work also was performed by Porsche Motorsport North America certified shops and the owner has documentation. The car also comes with a list of upgrades including an air jack system, a cool suit system, and more motorsport specific features. When it comes to race cars, mileage is not important, but rather hours of use or races completed. This becomes the timeline of the car’s life. This information is placed into a “logbook” where the car is accounted for.

The ad lets us know this GT4 Clubsport has been taken care of. Now let’s talk about the best part: the price. This GT4 is listed at $100,000. You might think, that’s a lot for a Cayman. However, this is a factory-supported race car from Porsche, not just a standard road car. Consider the fact this car costs $165,000 new, a relatively low price point for club racing. At the current price, it is a steal and intro to real sport. Is this GT4 Clubsport worth it for you? Let us know in the comments below.
