1966 Porsche 911

With Barrett-Jackson’s inaugural Northeast Auction coming up June 23-25, we’re starting to see previews of some of the hot rides available. But you’ll be hard-pressed to find one hotter than this 1966 Porsche 911.

With 911 prices soaring, and just 1,710 1966 models produced, you can bet your bottom dollar that this car, Lot #686 offered with reserve, is going to fetch a pretty penny.

As we all know, the 911 debuted in 1963. But production didn’t begin in full until 1964. And the model wasn’t available Stateside until 1965. So this Wilson Collection car from California is one of the earliest American examples.

Decked out in Irish Green paint with tan leather interior and plaid seat inserts, and sporting the original 2.0-liter flat-6 and 4-speed manual, this baby’s been restored to her build sheet specs and comes correct with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

So yeah, she’s a gem. Just how much do you reckon it’ll cost to take this baby home?
