Never raced. Owner had done lots of DE with intentions of Club Racing. Did mostly Chin HPDE. Never committed to racing despite lots of training and car development. He is ready and so is the car he just can't commit to a race schedule. I was one of his instructors and did lots of tech work on the car. Car needs nothing and is ready to race competitively.

Caymans are generally short on power and a handful at the limit but this car is very fast and easy to drive hard.. When I installed the IPD plenum and GT3 throttle body it totally transformed the driveability. It only added a few HP but streched the power rage and added lower-end torque. Our shop has built a bunch of Cayman race cars and we got it right on this one!

I hear you man!!
i actually came from owning two 996tt
and so far i'm liking the Cayman R i bought it with a mild track set up
and does fine i can only imagine this one.
I'm gradually upgrading it more.
But i will look into the Idp and gt3 throttle body as you've mentioned.

thx
