LOL.
I do have to get under the car again in the rear but the front I do the same.
Unhook cross and put under the frunk lid back out and when the nose is till in the ramp I unhook from the sides. Pretty easy.
I have a remote control winch but never used it.

A winch is always good insurance. Ask me how I know.
I did see a pro trucker use an interesting tiedown technique before. He was using just one long strap for the front and another long strap for the rear. He would run the strap through both wheels to the D rings, so he only need 2 tie-downs. He said he has never had any issues and has towed over a million miles that way. He said the wheels never get dinged up and the straps rarely are an issue with the body work.

24Chrom,
Does the GT4 have holes in the frame rails for shipping? I know some of the older Porsches had them, and that really makes tying down the car really easy. I had them on my Z06, and used T hooks from Macs, and it was even easier than using the Rennline tiedown points.

Last time I towed, I changed my strapping technique. I was strapping thru the wheel spokes, with the straps kept outside the wheels. This time I strapped thru and around the tire (inside/outside). It does keep the ratchet straps free of the bodywork so there is no rubbing. But it's a pain to have to lie on the floor in order to weave the strap and hitch it up. Next time I'm trying the Lord Reter method (see above). I purchased a full set of the Fabspeed tie-downs. I'll report back in a couple of weeks how that goes.
Next up is a 5 jug holster for the fuel jugs custom made by TPD. It just screws into the frame studs. This one was mine, but it wasn't made correctly, so we installed it in Mooty's trailer. This gets the jugs up off the floor in the area of the wheels. Brand new jugs as well!

i did all the heavy LIFTING. while chromium used power tool.
i was told i will endanger others if i had the power tool
tie down:
i did the opposite chromium did.
i used to go through wheel now i only go through spokes
car moves less.
i think if you ask 3 guys how to tie car down, u will get 5 answers. just tie it down whichever way you like. through the window perhaps. dont make it so hard. its not rocket science. i am tied down and gone within 30 min of getting off track with hot tires. dont worry too much about scraping the lip either, i just drive it faster into the trailer and ignore the noise.
and dont ever stand b/n my car and trailer guiding me in. i drive in at 25 mph, u will get creamed.
see you at BW.
