why do some of you not have LED headlights?
when I see other GT3s on the road many dont have the familiar 4 LEDs, at first I thought it was "gimmicky" but now I can see that no other car company has them and its a message "get out of the way here comes a Porsche" SO why did some of you not order the LEDs

Audi has had them for a long time. And I don't do much night driving.

I think the OP probably thinks that given the price of the car, the cost of the option may not be the deciding factor. Obviously it is for some. I think the LED's look better than the regular HID lights, especially in black. I think a lot of early GT3 buyers would've ordered LED's but they weren't available in black until later. Some people like the simplicity of the standard HID lights.

For the few times I drive my GT3 at night, the standard Bi-Xenons are far more than I need. As far as looks are concerned LED's didn't really move me that much anyway although they are kind of cool . In the end, it would have been spending $3400 just to say "I have LED's" and I decided to use the money on PCCB's instead. I did pay extra to get the dynamic Bi-Xenons which have a gray (not silver) surround to match the stock wheels, but that was only $770 extra not $3400.

For the price of the car and the marketing, LED headlights should be standard!
But then again, lots of people ticked that option, so Porsche made more money...
At least they gave us the choice...

Mirror all the points on why I don't need them for $3400. I don't drive the car very much at night to warrant the cost. Though, I DO value the dynamic (PDLS) in black option for the FUNCTION and color choice.... and at $1200 the cost to benefit ratio makes sense to me.
Now conversely, in my Cayennes I've always gotten them since I drive it at night regularly as my DD.
Lastly, just because the car costs $X doesn't mean I stop making decisions based on need/logic/value regarding options. If it's adding no value to me I don't want to spend $1... Let alone thousands. Lol.

All else being equal, the LED''s are supposed to weigh less, although I don't know by how much. However the LED's come standard with PDLS which has motors to swivel the headlights in turns; they may actually end up being heavier than the standard Bi-Xenons which don't swivel.
