I thought you did alright. I'm 36 as well, 88 Carrera @ $1700/yr. That's base 12 month coverage, so it really more like $1150/yr with taking it off the road 5 months.

Scott you should put collector car policy on the 88.
I got a quote today for my 6turbo for less than half of what Lant was charging me. Got the quote from Vintage insurance btw.

Seems high from TD, but record and location play a big part, I pay a slight bit more for mine despite being much a junior too you and with a GT2 corresponding value appraisal...
P.S., Danny, may need to talk about another appraisal (for Boxster)

It does seem high, given that figure is suppose to include a 15% discount because of my houses being with them already!

I am sorry, but I must be missing something here... ~$2K annual insurance premiums in Ontario "is a lot of money" for a Porsche? Are you guys smoking something or do you live on a different planet?

Intact does appear to be the best out there BTW... my premiums on a modified Mercedes C63 AMG (modifications are fully documented and approved by Intact) are less than they were with TD MM for a "base" car and half the coverage amount. TD MM didn't even want to renew the policy after I told them that I've added a few goodies to the car and wanted the value to reflect the actual cost, not what a beat up base model would go for on the used market in case of a total loss. I am stiill surprised that you can insure ANY car as your DD for under $2K a year if it's the primary vehicle and you drive it a reasonable amount though.

Picked up my car today. I stayed with Intact through my broker. It wasn't in the $1100s - that was her estimate based on parking through the Winter (what my actual cost will be). It would be about $1575 yearly if I drove all year round.

Anyone have experience with CAA membership and their insurance? That's one option I will explore in the near future before my policy with Allstate is up for renew.

Damn.
It's $1800/year for my daily beater Toyota Corolla. But it's used daily between Toronto to Brampton everyday.

So far no one has indicated that whatever rate they are paying for their P-car is for it serving as their only or primary, 16K+ km/year daily driver vehicle, so I would venture a guess that they are all insured as occasional-low-miles-fun-use-only cars. With a clean driving record, a $1800 annual premium is par for the course for a "beater" daily driver.

I'm with TD Meloche Monnex and my 991 is my daily driver. I'm 40 years old and clean record (no tickets, accidents, etc.)
I'm paying $122/month ($1466/year) for full coverage and $2 million liability, accident forgiveness and all of the little tidbits. University Group discount as I went to school....LOL
