2 people voted for Alonso? WTF! One of the worst cars on the grid. No chance unless everyone piles up at T1. Even then.....??????

Raj and A Wayne wouldn't go that far this year. Well, at least I don't think they would.

Guess they couldn't resist the 1500 to 1 odds.
That's what they are for both Alonso and Button.
(Hamilton is 1:2)

I don't want Hamilton to win... but I concede... He will win. Nico in 2nd... but don't worry, the teams will save their engines for another race, and will only use the proper amount of fuel while doing so.

If F1 cars are mandated to go gluten free, I am wearing diapers and only drinking bourbon until all this gets fixed.

Ferrari go 1-2 in FP1 with Kimi ahead of Vettel (Can't remember the last time a Merc was not on top in a FP1)

Mercedes goes 1-2 in FP2 with Rosberg leading Hamilton by .1 and Kimi in 3rd by .5.

Looks like Ferrari has some pace at this track and if they can do 1 less stop than Merc, it could get interesting.

The Mercs were 5 second a lap slower in P1 than they were in P2. The teams usually are the slowest in P1, but the Mercs clearly were not worried about showing their speed in that first session. Ferraris should still be the best of the rest and Raikkonen has raced well in Bahrain in the past. So he could finish ahead of Vettel. But I am still expecting the Mercs (likely Hamilton) to have an easy race to victory.

The practice sessions are just that, practice. Tomorrow will show how good everybody really is.

Nico is clearly rattled. Which is sad.

Got here too late for the poll, but my vote would be for Hamilton. He is driving too well and Merc still has an advantage. I do think that either Ferrari will be right up Nico's *** for second, and he may very well fold and wind up fourth.

Pete, my guess is Mercedes chose to go slow in the hot first session to avoid stress on their power units. In the cooler 2nd practice they were right back up front.

practice is practice and this is just qualifying, but there seems to be something different about Ferrari this weekend.... They don't seem to bemoan the difference in pace... I'm hoping their race pace is even better than qualifying, but to be 1+ seconds behind them, then .7 and now .4 I think Mercedes can be caught sometime later this year.

It's looking like Ferrari will catch Merc in the next 3-4 races. They may have the race pace and tire management setups now to beat them at this track. WDC and WCCs are not out of reach yet. If Ferrari can put both cars on the podium this race they will stay withing striking distance until they match Merc's pace.
This may not be such a boring year after all.

Kimi passes Rosberg with only a few laps remaining and takes 2nd........so gr8 to see him passing car after car.

Seb was doing well until he damaged the front wing. Strong race for Ferrari and do show if they keep the progress up they shall indeed be racing for the lead in a few races.

Unfortunate for Massa to have his issue at the start..........another weekend to forget for Renault.

Now onto Europe
