Great car, shame Porsche wouldn't match the calipers to one of the main body colors.

It's a homage to the glorious 917 era...

But do you know the name of the body color and the color code?
For example, 'Maritime Blue/Maritimblau', color code 38B. It should
have a bit of 'purple' tint in the blue hue. Thanks for posting photos
of it!

If it's truly a hippy paint job, maybe it's "Moody Blue"

Hideous imo but I did not throw away the $1.2 million plus. I would have thrown up on one for nothing.

Eduardo,
What is the difference between Orxy White PTS (OK1) and Pearlescent Effect White PTS (947)?? I don't think I ever seen a modern Porsche in the Pearlescent Effect White color.

For a street car? mmmn... not sure if it is for me. But very cool all the same!

Would love to know what color blue they used!!

No, that is not *****. The latter was 'on the road again' and couldn't be there for the delivery of the 918.
That is Jet Li's (below) cousin 'La Choy' with the cute Queue braid!

I don't know.

Here is what I know. Oryx is double the regular PTS cost of $5500 in the 991...but the same $21K as most other PTS on the 918. Go figure!

I don't know what 'Pearlescent Effect White (code 947) cost on a 991 but it's a whopping $49K on a 918!

I personally don't like either and would never recommend them on a Porsche to anyone on this forum.

The only one I can think of was the 959s done by the factory in this 'Pearl White' color.

It was hideous...in my opinion. But what do I know? I drive a bright froggy green gt3!

LOL! Fair enough, to each his own. When I first saw the pearl white 959 concept car, I was drooling. Having said that, it's no coincidence that I have a oryx white PTS 918 as well!

I wonder why the pearl white paint costs more than twice as much on the 918 than oryx white, which in turn, costs twice as much on a normal 911 PTS, but only costs the "standard" 21K on the 918.

Onyx White is basically a renamed colour from the Audi range, Mineral White.
