Finally!
After several on again, off again, negotiating sessions, I finally pulled the trigger on a Midnight Blue 08 turbo cab. Flew out to Calif yesterday to do a final inspection and to test drive the car. I was not disappointed.....in either the car or the owner. He is an avid Porsche enthusiast who will still have 4 other Porsches in his stable after selling the car to me.
A bonus for this purchase was that in discussing the car with the Seller, I learned that he had the optional hardtop for the car. Most folks just stash the tops in their garages where they collect dust. But, for me living in Chicago, the hard top is perfect for our 5-6 months of cold weather every year. The owner had sourced the top after buying the car, had it refinished to match the car, and fitted the proper hardware for the car. Fit and finish on the top were outstanding.
The owner was a delight to deal with, after we did our strenuous negotiating sessions! Neither of us was happy with the deal; which, is generally the sign of a successful negotiation! The biggest bonus is that I can now legally change my avatar.
I've attached a few photos.

Congrats! Looks like the interior is Natural Brown Leather. My first 911 was midnight blue with NBL. Great combo! Enjoy!

[QUOTE=Ibanezgod;14017521]hell of an interior color! Very striking... Looks like an 80's Ferrari colored interior. Was about to say... that doesn't look like Chicago!! Hope you drove it home[/QUOT
Would have loved to drive the car back. Unfortunately, the car is fitted with summer tires which would have been a serious issue since we still have winter temps in Chicago. So the car is being shipped..

beautiful car! Let me know how it is with the hard top driving around when you get the car home. I have almost the same car in Basalt black and considering the hard top.
Enjoy in good health!
