unless I want to be king of LA traffic commute. I drive my stealth Turbo to work every day, and nobody notices me. I assume anyone who buys this car will not need to sell anything else (perhaps a condo in Hawaii). However, I must sat that I have been craving for a GT3 with manual transmission for occasional driving, but given where prices are, the new Shelby 350R is quite tempting. I am preparing myself psychologically to go to a Ford dealer one of these days, but not sure I'll be able to. By the way, well done Ford.

Which one?? LOL
Seriously, they have not announced pricing on the new FGT. Speculation ranges from $200k to $400k. Would be very interesting and successful at the lower end of the range I think and I would be in line for one...

I don't think they can demand the higher range of $200-$400. You are getting into exotics at that level. In the $100-$150 range they compete with the new NSX and the new R8.

I went to Detroit and saw the Ford GT and the Mustang GT 350 in person. Both looked fantastic to me. I am big Ford fan and these guys have really done a nice job. And yes, you can still get a manual tranny. The GT will be priced around $175 MSRP plus the dealer markup (tbd)...

It certainly looks fantastic. With the Ford GT priced around $175K, the NSX at $155K. the Zora probably somewhere around $160K, and new 991 TTS Cab at $195K.....I feel like my 997.2 TTS Cab is a screaming deal and value for the performance.

need to see it in person, but under $200K they have a winner IMO. If it's NA, with a manual and monster torque of a big American V8 then it will have a nice niche, especially when everything else in that performance category is turbo + dual clutch auto

You have to hear it!! 2016 Ford GT Supercar: Start Up & Press Madness! - YouTube
I Just did a quick google search and there's talk of a twin turbo 3.5L V6 making 600 hp to power the GT. boy was I wrong, I figured they'd put a big NA V8 or a supercharged V8, but a small twin turbo V6 would be soooooooooo far from the DNA of the original... very surprising
