Jenners 997 RS at auction
This would be a good start for 2017 if the car at Gooding will sell for estimated value.
If it does, then the 997 RS prices are here to stay/ stable.
Last year i know a 400 mile RS was auctioned for 290.

16K mile car but "celebrity" owned and proceeds go to charity will drive the price of this car over 200K; otherwise it's a 170-180K car.

Maybe just me, but the provenance on this one would serve to decrease the value.

I think the credit goes to the car.

I thought about it first if his name recall if this would sell more than a car owned by somebody else. I am not sure it would bring in the money just by his name. I have nothing against him. BUt if he rolls out a perfume with his name on it, would you buy it? I wouldnt. So having him owned it, would this pull 230-240.
I think the credit goes to the car.

therefore, price of car roughly 180s
having been in the market for genII RS for past year, a lot these cars are sitting.
partly due to slowing in economy, "bubble" deflating, and upcoming .2 GT3.
I'll be watching the Jenner car, but it will sell over 200K for the reasons mentioned prior.
here some for sale:

In my humble opinion this is the best time to buy a 997 GT3RS. Prices are somewhat soft for higher mileage examples and when I say higher mileage they are still very low miles unless you want concours level trailer queens. Neurotichamster8 this is your window of opportunity as I know that you have been patiently looking for a while.

^^^ I don't know why people think that 991.2 GT3's can't be had. If you don't need to be the very first on the block to get it, I'm sure Porsche will make as many as people will want to buy.
Just the past couple weeks I've been offered slots by multiple dealers in my area. I've placed a deposit with one after having sat down with my SA who has been with his shop for over 15 years. He basically identified for me, one by one which deposits ahead of me are real buyers. From my spot of #14, he basically weeded out half.
I'm only getting a 1.2 GT3 as an addition to my 7.2 RS, however. Based on production numbers for 1.1 GT3 / RS and number of 1.2 GT3 / RS Porsche will likely produce, I have to believe 997 GT cars will be much sought after, years to come. My low mileage 7.2 RS is definitely a keeper.
