COOL SHIRT
Just purchased the cool shirt system and will install it in my 2011 GT3RS.
Most have recommended placing the cooler box with tray in the trunk [front obviously], but what about running the wiring and hose into the cabin? Seems like a big job.
Will it fit behind the driver or passenger seats, with factory roll bar in place?

Flying penguin came through the firewall somehow. I bought the soft bag system and just put it behind the passenger seat and plug into the lighter. With the seat all the way back, it won't move. Not as much capacity and need to reload with ice more often, but no worries about coming through the firewall the the thick insulated water lines.

I got the softside bag, and put it wedged behind the passenger seat. Works well. You could never double insulated it in a cooler bag. Putting it in the frunk would be a bitch.

yeah, its not going anywhere. Possibly in a violent rollover, but at that point a small gym bag is the least of my worries.

The routing thru both firewalls is easy. Routing thru the center is preferred as per ngng.
I get about two sessions out of a fresh load of ice on the small sized cool shirt ice chest. Even in the midst of Texas Summers, so that's a consideration over the soft bag, I guess.

Having had both the soft and hard-sided coolers - in triple digit temperatures - I can confidently state that the larger, 24qt hard-sided cooler, is well worth it - despite having to route the wiring and hoses. However, the frunk gets quite hot, what with 3 radiators up there. So, if you can forgo the passenger seat, that's the ideal location. If you must locate it in the frunk, buy the insulation blanket for the box and hose insulation.
